NEW DELHI: AISA president Neha Bora approached the Delhi High Court on Monday, challenging a Delhi Police notice directing her to execute a bond to maintain peace and public order before a Special Executive Magistrate (SEM).
Bora is expected to seek an urgent hearing in the matter, despite the High Court being closed this week for the Dussehra vacation.
The police notice directed Bora to appear before the SEM on October 19 and execute a bond under Section 126 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which provides for proceedings aimed at preventing breaches of peace.
